Book Nook by the Bay "Field Study Books"

"Field Study Drawing Journal" - Follow in the footsteps of botanists by drawing and taking notes about your discoveries in a handmade accordion book. Participants can make drawings of plant-life and outdoor art installations from the "Speak Now" Exhibition.

The Deering Estate at Cutler, in collaboration with the Miami-Dade Public Library System and Lynne Hudgins from Nature's Natives, offers the enriching "Book Nook by the Bay" program on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. The program is free with admission to the Estate.

Deering Estate at Cutler staff and volunteers/staff from our partner organizations - including the Miami-Dade Public Library System are onsite to provide family story time, on-site eco-arts and crafts, science programs and more! Each month, the Estate offers a different themed topic, story-time and a host of activities.
