Featuring Howard Greenblatt - Classical and Flamenco Guitarist
Guitarist Howard Greenblatt is an exciting and versatile artist, who has received wide acclaim from critics and audiences throughout the Eastern United States, Canada and Englad. In his London debut at the Wigmore Hall, he was given the honor of a comparison with the great English guitarist Julian Bream. In his New York debut at Canegie Recital Hall, the New York Times said: "agile and supple fingers...he played with color...the rhythm was steady yet flexible according to the needs of the music...a guitarist who was first rate." Mr. Greenblatt's performances have included solo recitals, appearances as orchestral soloist, and chamber music with members of the New York Philharmonic, the Philharmonia Virtuosi, the City Center Opera and the New Jersey Opera, as well as frequent New York radio and television broadcasts. As further testimony to his diversified talents, Mr. Greenblatt has performed with flamenco and modern dance troupes, and has composed music for theatrical productions. His first recording, The Music of Francisco Tarrega, has been released by Lydian Records.
