Associate Artist

The Deering Estate at Cutler offers artists access to the Estate to create, exhibit, and interact with other artists in our Artist Village and through the various art programs on the Estate, such as our Associate Artist Program. Members of the Estate’s Exhibits and Collections Advisory Committee will jury applicant Associate Artists into the program based on an established criteria that is in keeping with the Estate’s overall Exhibits and Collections Management Policies and Procedures.

Associate Artists are able to produce art in a natural and historic setting and receive invitations to participate in our Art on Loan program, as well as have the ability to interact with the many visitors to the Estate. The program is open to artists working in a variety of mediums, including: painters, photographers, sculptors, and craft artisans. Applications are accepted via mail or in person at the Estate Ticket Office.

NOTE: We request that Associate Artists credit all work that is exhibited or reproduced elsewhere, as such: “Produced while an Associate Artist of the Deering Estate at Cutler.” Additionally, all work that is created or reproduced while on the Estate or using Estate images shall not be for commercial use, and can only be made available for private exhibit or private sale.
