The Deering Estate at Cutler is a geographic location rich with cultural possibilities and the neighboring area is rich in cultural diversity. In 2006, the Estate began to invest in the development of programs specifically to engage local and international, juried, visual and performance artists to interact with our community.
CALL TO ARTIST FOR THE 2011 ARTSOBAY EXHIBIT
APPLICATION PROCESS
ArtistS interested in participating in the 2011 ArtSoBay Exhibition must complete a formal application. Please complete the entry form attached and return it with $25 entry fee by JANURAY 16, 2011. (postmarked Jan. 13, 2011).

ArtSoBay Exhibit Opening:
February 4th, 2010, 7 to 9 pm, Selected artists will be announced on Jan. 17th. Exhibit will remain through March 3rd.
CALL TO ARTIST FOR THE SPRING 2011 JURIED PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT
APPLICATION PROCESS
Photographers interested in participating in the Spring 2011 Juried Photography Exhibit must complete a formal application. In addition, photographers are welcome to make arrangements with the Exhibits and Collections Coordinator to visit the Estate during regular Estate hours (10 am—4:30 pm, 7 days a week).

COSTS
Application must be received in advance with a non-refundable entry fee of $25, made payable to the Deering Estate Foundation, Inc. The photographer is responsible for supplying his/her own camera, equip-ment, materials and anything necessary to complete his/her submission.

Free and open to the public; Exhibit will remain through April 17, 2011.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Each applicant may submit up to 6 digital images for judging. Final submissions must be framed, ready for hanging with wire in place. All work should be no larger that 48” x 48” including frame, plexiglass, glass or protective coating. Work not properly framed will be disqualified. Artwork will be for sale to the public. If accepted into the exhibi-tion, photographers agree to contribute 10% of any photo sales transacted during the exhibit back to the Estate. Best in show, first, second and third place submissions will be selected by the Exhibits and Collections Advisory Committee.
SHIPPING AND HANDLING
All work must be delivered and retrieved by the artist or an agent of the artist by April 24, 2011. The Deering Estate at Cutler will not be responsible for work left past the pick up dates.
CALL TO SCHOOLS & ARTISTS FOR THE 2011 YOUTH ARTS DAY
APPLICATION PROCESS & ENTRY FORM
Youth groups and individual youth artists (visual, literary & performance) interested in participating as an artist in the 2011 Youth Arts Day & Music Fest must submit the application form and any digital samples by April 1st, 2011. Submissions are limited to one per student.
COSTS
There are no costs to participate as an artist in Youth Arts Day & Music Fest. Youth artists or their sponsoring organization are responsible for supplying his/her own equipment, exhibit materials, transportation and anything necessary to complete his/her submission.
YOUTH ARTS DAY AWARDS
Founding members of the Living Artist Concert Series and the Estate’s Artists in Residence have offered their time and talent for portfolio reviews to students and act as volunteer judges to select award winning submissions.
SCHEDULE:
APRIL 1: Application forms due at Estate.
APRIL 15-17: Drop off of student work at Estate.
MAY 1: YOUTH ARTS DAY & MUSIC FEST 10am to 5pm
JUNE 3-5: Student retrieve artwork from Estate.
