FOCUSED AWARENESS MEDITATION
Instructor: Peggy Gaines
Learn the basic skills necessary to begin and maintain a powerful meditation practice and make relaxation part of your daily life. Focused Awareness Meditation will help you establish a firm foundation for the body, create and maintain inner balance through diaphragmatic breathing, and practice techniques to refine breathing and improve concentration. Through the meditative exercises taught in this program, you will become more adept at adapting to new situations, working through conflicts, and staying calm under pressure. $60 for 5 one-hour classes.

Course instructor, Peggy Gaines, RN BSN, received her training as a Meditation Specialist from Susan Taylor, PhD of the Center for Meditation Science in Newburyport, MA. Peggy is a nurse educator who has been meditating for more than ten years.
