Volunteer
As the Deering Estate enters into a new and exciting season of events, exhibitions, and programs, we have an opportunity to engage community volunteers to enhance and expand the reach of our Education and Interpretive Staff. Volunteers can do many things – greet visitors, conduct tours, help remove exotic plants or maintain the natural beauty of the mangroves, boat basin or natural areas trail. Students can participate in internship programs, as part of our Junior Naturalist Program or bring a group to the Estate to provide service as an alternative “spring break.”
We are looking to the Miami-Dade County community for a core group of volunteers committed to environmental stewardship, historical preservation, cultural programming and recreation. If you have a particular interest in sharing the many resources the Deering Estate at Cutler has to offer with others, we invite you to become one of our esteemed volunteers.
There are many intangible benefits to The Deering Estate Foundation that can attract volunteers. To learn more about these intangible benefits, to volunteer or to request more information, please contact the Deering Estate Foundation at 305-235-1668 ext. 263.
Please note that volunteers are subject to a criminal background check.
