Spring Camp, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, March 26-30
Campers, age 6-14, will travel through the history of the Deering Estate, learning about each of the peoples contributions to building our historical, archeological, cultural, and natural preserve. Spring Camp is held March 26-30, 2018. They will explore solution holes like those that the dire wolves used as dens (10,000-12,000 years ago), hike following the footsteps of the Tequesta tribe (500-700 years ago), go fishing in the same bay that members of the town of cutler did (150 years ago), roam the halls of Charles Deering’s family homes (100 years ago), and get down and dirty as archeologist digging to study the cultures of the past.

Monday – Friday, March 26-30, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Late pick-up is available from 5 – 6 p.m., for an additional charge.
Cost: $200 for a five-day session.

Campers, ages 6-14, will dive into the mission of Deering Estate as they explore, learn, and become environmental stewards. During the week long sessions, the campers will get the chance to hike, play, and discover how they can contribute to the protection of our protected natural areas. Activities are nature based and include hiking, kayaking (age 9-14), science experiments, arts and crafts, and more!
